After being really upset about being kidnapped, you find out that I have feelings for you, and you give me this look - a look that translates as a mix between “really?” and “oh boy”. You then explain to me that, not only are you aro, that you also wouldn’t really want to get involved with someone who kidnapped you. Even if being a villian is their job and they’re kind of obliged to do this sort of thing.
Somehow we end up sitting in the basement I locked you in, drinking cordial and playing Connect 4 (which I found in a closet somewhere in my hideout, in a particularly moldy box). I’m not really sure how this happened but I’m considering letting you go, although maybe after you finish telling me this last story about your pet rats.

Hey, I know this is shitty. I know it’s scary and it fucking hurts.
I know because I am also angry and sad and scared. But I’ve always believed in being vindictively happy. Celebrate who you are because you are brilliant and strong and amazing. Love yourself and those around you harder than you ever have in your life because that’s exactly the kind of thing the world needs right now. And if you’re too sad and tired for all that, it’s okay. I understand. There’s a whole community here to support you until you can.
